"徽商"含义之探索

仅把“徽商”一词作为一个商帮的称号是不全面的。从狭义上来看,“徽商”指的是徽州经商的人(们),或其经济实体,或商帮;从广义上来看,“徽商”指的是古徽州从商人群以及由他们创造的、以商业为主导的徽州地域特色经济和商人文化。

Probing In to the True Meanings of Huishang

Though many different definitions have been given to the word "Huishang"(an abbreviation of "Huizhou merchants"in Chinese),it out that it is not comprehensive to define this word onlyas a title referring to a gang of merchants.the word "Huishang" possesses double meanings.In a narrow sense ,it referrs to either any native of Huizhou who had ever been dealing in business,or as the firms Huizhou natives had ever been dealing in ,or as a gang of merchants;in a broad sense,it referrs to not only a crow of merchants who were natives of ancient Huizhou ,but also the special economies and cultures which had been developed in the long history of their creative activities in businiss and dominated by commercial ideas in cultural formation ,both featuring distinct local characteristics.
