“抵赖”刍议

“抵赖”是现今言语交际中一个不可或缺的常用词语，意即“不认账，推托”。“抵赖”之“赖”本作“谰”，字形的转换是汉语“择字为音”的必然产物，也在一定程度上体现了汉字“形以表意”的能动性，而其词义的形成则是在语义组合规则的作用下，词素“抵”与“谰”相互影响、相互渗透的结果。

On Dilai (Deny)

Dilai （deny） is the word that is most frequently used in our daily life. It means ＂deny＂. We point out among it, Lai （赖） was originally Lan （谰）. The transformation of the writing form reflects the fact that Chinese is the outcome of ＂choosing a word for its sound＂. In addition, it manifests the dynamic feature of Chinese that form can express meaning to some extent. The formation of the word meaning results from the semantic rules, e.g. , the mutual influence and pervasion of morphemes Di （抵） and lai （赖）.
