词项语法（Word Grammar）是英国语言学家理查德.哈德森（Richard A.Hudson）于20世纪80年代提出并予以完善的。这种新的语法理论不仅提出了在句法分析中把词看成是唯一单位并通过词的依赖关系（曲线箭头图）建立语义网络的新观点,而且提出了人类可以像对其他知识和行为进行分析一样分析和解释语言的新见解,从而对传统语法理论一直认为的在句法分析中短语是基本单位和语言与其他知识的习得过程不同的传统观点提出了挑战。词项语法理论有助于为探索语言的本质提供新的研究方法和工具,其句法分析方式可应用于教学实践。

A Review and Analysis on Word Grammar

Word grammar was created by British linguist Richard A·Hudson in 1980s and perfected recently.Traditional grammar takes ＂phrase＂ as the basic unit in syntactic analysis to reflect meanings,while word grammar uses ＂word＂ as the only unit to establish semantic networks based on dependent relations.Traditional grammar believes that language acquisition is different from the acquisition of other knowledge,while word grammar argues that we can analyze and explain language in the same way that we analyze other knowledge and behavior.Word grammar provides a new method and tool in exploring the nature of language and its way of syntactic analysis can be applied in grammar studies and teaching practice.
