美国剧作家苏珊·格拉斯佩尔国内外研究述评

20世纪美国女剧作家苏珊·格拉斯佩尔在生时与尤金.奥尼尔齐名,身后在美国文学评论界遭遇近20年沉寂。70年代开始被"重新"挖掘,90年代以后逐渐回温,并在我国外国文学研究界逐步引起重视。格拉斯佩尔研究应该走出"女性主义"政治学的局限,关注其作品的美学和文学本体价值。

Domestic and Foreign Research On American Female Playwright Susan Glaspell

Twentieth-century American female playwright Susan Glaspell is comparable to Eugene O’Neil when she is alive.However she has been neglected by the American literary history for nearly twenty years in 1950s-1960s.Since 1970s,Glaspell has been "discovered" and gradually been a research focus in the 1990s and studies about Glaspell have been carried out by Chinese scholars around the late 1990s.This study argues that the research about Glaspell should center on its aesthetic value and literary ontological significance instead of the only "feminist" political aspect.
