| Abstract: | ＂ Language Change and Optimality Theory＂ is a collective work covering the ma- jor theories in the domain of historical linguistics in latest 10 years since ＂optimality＂ was pro- posed. This paper introduces the structure and background of this book. Additionally, the stud- ies concerning phonology and syntax are also analyzed here. Three main characteristics of this book are summarized. |
