新时期小说现代化的呼唤

世纪之交的新时期文学，经历了从伤痕文学到反思、到寻根、到新潮、到新写实等一系列演进过程，体现在力图将西方人道主义、现代主义思想引进我国，而且又表现出对回归传统的依恋。特别是新写实小说的可贵尝试，使人们把目光投入到现实主义，但这是现代化基础上的新的现实主义，是对小说现代化的呼唤。
