| 摘 要： | 蔡元培的美育思想独树一帜，在中国近代教育史上有着重要意义。表面上看，他的美育思想呈现出比较零散的状态，缺乏完整性，但他的美育观涵盖了美育的本质、美育的特征及作用、美育的实施、以美育代宗教等各方面的内容，这些观点之间存在一种内在的逻辑联系，形成了相对系统的美育思想体系。而其思想中鲜明的反封建、反帝国主义色彩又使其美育思想颇具独创性。
