| Abstract: | This paper will firstly introduce the categories and main characteristics of English lexical phrases.Then a discussion over the function of English lexical phrases will be carried out from the angle of second language acquisition.The author holds the view that lexical phrases play an important role in second language acquisition,which can be summarized as follows:firstly,the acceleration of language fluency;secondly,the improvement of lexical selection ability;thirdly,the enhancement of pragmatic awareness. |
