| Abstract: | Decameron has both supporting and refuting arguments. On one hand, it uses the indulgence ifi sensual pleasures as means to attack Catholicism. On the other hand, it uses reason to restrain various desires, to praise highly ideal humanity, and to realize a new social order with harmony. |
