摘 要: | "Theory of Epiphany" James Joyce used in his literature is to explain an aesthetic process of the stages of artistic creation. Virginia Woolf’s conception of "moments of being", later develop into the stream of consciousness, is considered as the major techniques in her short stories. In this paper, the major features of the two techniques are compared and contrasted with reference to Joyce’s early fictions and Woolf’s The Mark on the Wall.
