An Approach to Long Distance Horizontal Pneumatic Conveying

In the past, the application of pneumatic conveying was limited to comparatively short distance. At present, however, large amounts of fly ash produced by coal-fired power stations have to be disposed of by long distance, pneumatic conveying systems.With a view to reducing the cost of consumption, this paper approaches some problems concerning long distance horizonal pneumatic conveying--different solids-gas flow patterns in the long horizontal pipe, the gas velocity of minimum energy consumption, the optimal design of the conveying pipe, and experiments of the blow-tank.
