The Blind Assassin,a work of Margaret Atwood,Canadian contemporary female writer,is based upon the history of the Chase Family to reflect Canadian history since its independence in 1867.In this process of historical narrative,Atwood describes the victimhood of Canada,and also reiterates her stand of anti-America.The book displays Atwood’s unique concept of writing — left-hand writing,which is non-traditional female post-modern writing with stream of consciousness.It can be concluded that Atwood’s attitude towards history is that history is not only the documentary of the past,but it’s the existence of the past.
