Applied Research on Theory and Practice of the Teaching Goals of Physical Education

The paper elaborates the concept of curriculum goal of physical education（PE） in China, including the general objective of physical education curriculum, learning target, level, and PE teaching goal, discusses the relationship between PE curriculum goal and PE teaching goal, the longitudinal level of PE curriculum goal, and the present PE teaching goal and researching situation of Chi- na, analyzes the development trend of PE curriculum and teaching goal, and outlines the basis, principles, requirements, procedures and methods of setting the PE teaching goal under the new curriculum reform. The setting of PE teaching goal is a hot research topic in the new curriculum reform, and also a hot topic of practical application in PE teaching design. This study provides a theoretical and practical reference for first-line teachers in our country.
