| Abstract: | The positivity and affirmation of the semantic level of complimentary expressions demonstrate the obverse and affirmative appraisal of the object by the subject. The complimentary expressions in spoken English is nevertheless a highly formalized expressions. Under the context of the different cultural background, it reflects the rules and value orientation of non-verbal communication. It has its own infrastructure and inner rules. |
