| Abstract: | This paper makes a detailed inquiry into the related elements around the foundation of Xijiang College, Such as the causes to the founding of the College, the founder, the normination and the financial cost required, etc. with an aim to ex amine the development of economy, culture and education promoted by the College in the community of Southern Guangxi. It is intended to provide concrete evidence of influence excerted by a college on the community and civilization in the area of its location. |
