There is much that is new on the educational front since the overthrow of the "gang of four" and particularly since the reform of the college enrollment system and the criticism of the "two estimates." (1) The achievements should be fully affirmed. Both in educational circles and in society at large, however, people are hoping for even faster progress in education.
