An Investigative Survey of Conditions Among Middle School Ideological and Political Workers in Beijing |

Abstract: | From April to June 1987, we conducted an investigation of the condition of middle school ideological and political workers in Beijing Municipality. Eight meetings were convened, with forty-seven people taking part. We also interviewed two people, surveyed forty-nine by questionnaire, and collected three written pieces of documentation. The personnel surveyed included chiefs of the municipal and district bureaus of education; personnel from the personnel office and the political education office of the municipal bureau of education, and from the secondary education division of the district bureau of education; school-level personnel in charge of ideological and political work in middle school; supervisors of ideological education; teachers and instructors; Youth League and Young Pioneer cadres; political studies teachers; class masters and form masters; and students at both at the upper middle and lower middle school levels. |
