Development and Reform of Science and Technology Education in Primary and Secondary Schools in China

China is currently making great efforts in developing socialist construction and fulfilling its magnificent modernization program. The realization of the modernization program hinges upon the development of science and technology. Accordingly, much effort must be made in primary and secondary schools to popularize the knowledge of science and technology among young students in order to lay a solid foundation for improving the citizens' quality of science and technology and training a large number of qualified personnel in science, technology, and management.
