Abstract: | Psychology studies the human psyche and consciousness. Traditional psychology was subdivided into three parts, known as cognition, emotion, and will. Comrade Pan Shu has proposed a two-way subdivision, into cognition and purpose. He regards the two-way division as being in accord with dialectical materialism and the three-way division as being contrary to dialectical materialism.
