| 摘 要： | 自二十世纪初 ,尤其是二战以来 ,英语已成为名副其实的国际性交流媒介。笔者认为 ,英语自身的发展历史和特性为其成为世界语言提供了可能性 ,而世界社会经济的发展无疑为其成为世界语言创造了必要条件。这两种要素的结合 ,使英语拥有其它语言所无法企及的优越性 ,从而牢牢确立起其作为国际性语言的坚实基础。

| Abstract: | Since the turn of the 20 th century,especially since World War II,the English Language has become a true international communicative medium.In the author's view, its evolution and characteristics made it possible for English to become an interational language.And the development of the world economy offers necessary ground for it .The above_mentioned factors provide English with incomparable strength among all human languages. |
