对英汉度量形容词对子的认知分析

摘    要:本文用认知语言学的理论对英汉语中的度量形容词对子进行了异同分析,认为对子中的一词是无标记词,一词是有标记词。文章还分析了无标记词可以包括有标记词或者说二者出现对立中和的条件,并提出有标记词是无标记词的次范畴;分析了对立中和出现的认知原因即认知经济性、经验观、突显观和注意观。这些分析有利于我们解释一些语言现象和加深对这些词的认识。

The Cognitive Analysis of Measuring Adjective Pairs in Chinese and English

Abstract:This article explains the similarities and differences in Chinese and English of the measuring adjective pairs using some theory in the cognitive linguistics.Between each pair,one is unmarked while the other one is marked.The article first analyzes the circumstances in which the unmarked ones include the marked ones,namely the neutralization of contrasts.The article proposes that the marked ones are the subcategory of the unmarked ones,and then it analyzes the cognitive reasons underlying the neutralization: simplicity of cognition,experiential view,prominence view and attention view.This analysis can help us explain some linguistic phenomenon better and deepen our understanding of these words.
