传达中,文字的功能向来不被看重.一般认为文字不具备激发思维的功能,它只是对思维成果的消极物化.这种看法并不适合汉字.汉字是表意性文字,有图画性特征,这使它具备三个优点见文知意、传达意义的丰赡立体性、具有丰富的文化蕴涵.这些优点使它在传达中成为一个可以激发思维、推进思维的活体.同时传达中的汉字是手写的汉字,手写汉字有强化汉字形象性特征的性质.因此,汉字在传达中是积极的、有利于思维深入活跃的因素.

On The Positive Function of Chinese Charater In Expression

In expression of our thoughts, the function of characters is a lw ays considered unimportant. It is generally believed that a character does not p ossess the function to stimulate thinking and is only a negative materialized f ormation of the results of thinking. This belief is not suited to Chinese charac ter. Chinese character is such a character which can express meanings and has a picturesque feature. It has three advantages:first, one can get a full understan ding of the meaning of the character when it is seen; second, it has a rich dime ntional effect to express the meaning; and third it has rich cultural implicatio ns. These qualities make it a living carrier to stimulate and promote thinking i n expression and Chinese character is handwritten . The handwritten Chinese char acter has the feature to strengthen the image of the character. So we can concl ude that Chinese character is positive in expression and is a factor to stimulat e and promote thinking.
