历史文化名城保护与城市现代化简论

在“城市现代化”的旗号下,众多历史文化名城变得满目疮痍,这是对古代文化与现代文明的双重亵渎。城市优秀的历史文化遗产也是城市现代化的必要内容。保护文化遗产需要的是永续思维,怕的是急功近利。世界通行的古城保护模式有新旧分开和新旧混合两种。旧城改造应当从延续城市文脉出发,慎重实施。名城中的本土居民才是本土文化的延续者。政府应当明智而愉快地背上古城保护的光荣“包袱”。只有保护名城的观念成为全民的自觉意识与行动,名城及其文化才会世世代代相传。

On Conservation of Famous Historical and Cultural Cities and Modernization of Cities

Wang Hu-HuaIn flaunting the banner of "modernization of cities",many famous historical and cultural cities have become devastated.It's a blasphemy to both ancient culture and modern civilization,as a city's historical and cultural heritage is also important contents of its modernization.In the conservation of cultural heritage,what we need is thinking of it forever,not seeking short-term success and quick profits.There are generally two modes of protecting ancient cities in the world: separation of the old from the new and combination of the old with the new.The reformation of old cities should be carried out carefully to continue the cities' culture,in doing so,the native residents of the cities should be the ones to continue it,and it's the governments' honor to join in the work.Only when the conception of conservation of the ancient cities become self-realized idea and action,can the cities and the cultures last for generations.
