| Abstract: | Different nations have different ways of thinking. Metaphors in English and Chinese have a close relationship with the ways of thinking of British and Chinese people. The idioms of these two languages use different metaphors to express the similar meaning. Therefore, it is necessary to deal with the metaphorical phenomena in the idioms of these two languages in the course of translation. |
