| 摘 要： | 人们在交际中，特别是在社会生活中既需要精确的语言，又需要模糊的语言，而在一些政治性或应用委婉语的场合，适当地使用模糊语言是委婉化的一种有效方式。本文以英汉语的塔布现象－禁忌和委婉语词为例阐明语言模糊性的必要性。
