巴列维国王时期美国对伊朗的军售

在巴列维国王时期（1941—1979年）,军事援助和武器交易在美伊关系中占有相当大的分量,特别是在尼克松担任美国总统期间,美国对伊朗执行了几乎是不加限制的武器出售政策,大规模武器交易构成了这一时期美伊关系最重要的议题之一。巴列维向美国等国购买大量武器,固然增强了伊朗的军事实力,提升了伊朗的国际地位,但是他把大量石油美元花费在武器上,不可避免地会影响到对伊朗更为重要的经济建设的投资,这不仅为他的倒台埋下了伏笔,也为此后的美伊关系发展造成了难以消除的障碍。

The Weapons Trade between U.S. and Pahlavi's Iran

During the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi,Iran and U.S.kept very friendly relations.In the 1970s,the full-scale weapons trade between the two formed a most important subject in the development of U.S.-Iranian relations.The Iranian King purchased substantive weapons from the United States.Advanced weapons indeed strengthened the military power of Iran;yet on the other hand,because of two much spending of petrodollars on the weapon,Iran suffers from the inevitable lack of capital for more imperative economic investment.The move first costs the King his throne,and not long after,made the US the enemy of Iran.
