| Abstract: | Lianyungang is a coastal city in the east of China and the bridge-head of the Asian-European Continental Bridge.The author of the article reviews and analyses the process, features and reverse effect of its urbanization and specially probes into the reason why, Lianyungang, as a harbor city enjoying so much geological advantage, has suffered so slow an urbanization process in the hope to supply a reasonable basis for setting up goals for the urbanization and adoption of proper strategies. |
