Comparative Study on the Role of Book Review in Sine-Americas Library Collection Building

??There exists a great fap in organizing and using book reviews between the Chinese and American Libraries. American Librarians rely greatly on book reviews in book selection. but they are encouraged to search for more book information in database now. In China, however, neither reviewing activities nor book rebiew journals and indexes corresponding to the needs of library circles have been fully developed. With the development of the publish industry and the drastic increase of book titles, it becomes especially improtant to strengthen the role of book review in library collection building.
