| Abstract: | This paper,based on the numerous examples of translation of public tourist signs,mainly studies the strategies of polite translation of the same from Chinese into English in terms of language and culture.The thesis first of all emphasizes the importance and necessity of the polite translation of the public tourist signs and then comes up with a series of practical strategies such as the use of polite words and euphemism. |
