借鉴欧语的理论、方法，实现中西语言学的有效结合，是建设和发展我们语言理论研究的必由之路。结合必须汉语特点的研究为立足点，因而要紧紧抓住汉语的基本结构单位“字”法梳理汉语的结构规律。要实现语言学的国际接轨，需要克服理论上的依赖感。

Linguistic Theoretical Studies Since the Opening and Reform

It is true that the development of our linguistic therectical study an only be achieved through an effective combination of Chinese and Western linguistic theories,but this combination must base on Chinese characteristics. Therefore,the monosyllabic Chinese character (Zi), as the basic structural unit of the language, always serves as a critical clue in our search for its structural rules. To meet the demands of interationalization, a mere theorectical dependence upon the west must be avoided.
