In the new century the construction and the development of the academic libraries meet great challenges as well as opportunities. How the Party members in the university libraries can maintain their advanced nature, and how they can play an exemplary vanguard role both in thoughts and in actions still remains a great challenge. In order to guarantee and promote the development of information services in depth, the author of this essay thinks that the communist librarians should always be devoted to the cause, always be ready to help others, be cooperative with others, be active in learning, and be creative in work.
