Abstract: | Sponsored by the Patent Reexamination Board of the SIPO and Peking University IP Law School, and John Marshall Law School, moot court sessions were held on 3 June 2008 in Beijing. The Chinese and American sides each organized a panel to hear the same patent infringement case, and made its own judgment. The chief judge for the Chinese Session was Zhang Guangliang, former Acting Chief Judge at the Beijing Municipal No.1 Intermediate People's Court, now Deputy Director of the IP Research Centre of China University of Political Sciences and Law, and Guest Professor at the Peking University and John Marshall Law School, and the chief judge for the American Session was James F. Holderman, the Chief Judge at the US Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. |
