简评18世纪法国无神论思想

18世纪法国无神论思想家们从经验论出发，以唯物主义为思想武器，对作为宗教神学基石的上帝观念进行了猛烈批判，对宗教迷信产生的根源进行了分析，对无神论社会进行了构想，并提出了许多有价值的思想，代表看西方近代无神论思想的最高水平。但由于受时代和阶级的局限，他们无法也不可能真正驳倒宗教神学，也没有揭示出宗教迷信产生的社会根源和阶级根源，因而也不可能找到消灭宗教迷信的真正途径。

A Brief Review of the 18th-Century French Atheism

Basing on empiricism , the 18th-Century French Atheists had l a unched fierce attacked upon the idea of God as the cornerstone of theology ,offe ring us an analysis of the origin of religious superstitions and a conception of an atheistic society . By putting forth a valuable ideas , their thoughts can b e said to have achieved the highest level of modern atheism .However ,due to the limitations of the time and the class they belonged to,they did not and could n ot effectively overthrow theology ,nor were they able to find out the true socia l and class causes of the religious superstitions .That's why it was impossible for them to find the true approaches to extinguish these superstitions.
