追寻大学之魂

在我国,"追寻大学之魂"包含着两层意思:首先是要面对全球性文化生态危机引发的当前在世界范围内和我国正在出现的大学精神衰微现象,追寻普遍意义上的"大学之魂",从时代的高度和理性的视角对大学的文化本质、文化使命、文化精神和文化价值进行再认识,这是"追寻大学之魂"的核心和基础;与此同时,还要以史为鉴,面向未来,把握中国先进文化前进方向,进行正确的文化选择,探索中国特色社会主义新文化观,并在这个基础上坚持中国特色社会主义新文化观与普遍意义上的"大学之魂"的有机结合,在新形势下继承和创新"大学之道",这是当代中国历史发展的必然。

Seeking the Soul of University

In China,"seeking the soul of university" has two meanings.First,"seeking the soul of university" means seeking in the background of the decline of university soul home and abroad caused by global cultural ecological crisis.The goal is to rationally re-understand the cultural essence,mission,soul,and value of university from the perspectives of our time,which is the core and base of "seeking the soul of university".Meanwhile,"seeking the soul of university" means keeping the orientation of China's advanced culture,correctly making the cultural choice,and exploring socialist new cultural view with Chinese characteristics.Based on it,the combination of socialist new cultural view with "soul of university" in its general meaning should be adhered to by taking history as a guide and focusing on the future.In the new situation,"the university ideology" should be carried on and innovated,which is the inevitable of the contemporary Chinese history.
