晚清社会变迁中的长江下游青帮

长江下游江浙水手行帮中的罗教水手行帮是青帮的前身,青帮真正形成是在漕运解体,江浙罗教水手行帮与长江下游势力膨胀的盐枭集团结合以后,盐枭在青帮形成中起了载体和媒介的作用。光绪后长江下游青帮势力发展迅速,大致分为江南、江北两大势力中心。继承了罗教水手行帮和盐枭集团活动方式和组织体系的青帮,适应近代中国社会的变迁而形成了具有开放性的组织体系。

Social Changes in Late Qing Dynasty and the Qing Gang in the Lower Reaches of the Changjiang River

Before the Qing Gang (formerly, a secret society) emerged, its predecessor was the smaller trade association of Luo-jiao sailors in the trade society of sailors from Jiangsu and Zhejiang in the lower reaches of the Changjiang River. It was only after the trade association of Luojiao sailors in Jiangsu and Zhejiang became united with the increasingly powerful gang of salt sellers in the lower reaches of the Changjiang River that the Qing Gang eventually came into being. The gang of salt sellers played the function of a vehicle or medium in the course of formation of the Qing Gang. After Emperor Guangxu assumed power, the Qing Gang in the lower reaches of the Changjiang River rapidly grew stronger and stronger, and it was roughly divided into two central groups of power, one in the south of the Changjiang River and the other in the north of the river. Carrying forward the activity patterns and the organization systems of both the trade association of Luojiao sailors and the gang of salt sellers, the Qing Gang, which adjusted itself to the social changes in modern China, gradually developed itself into an open organization.
