摘    要:增强现实技术是信息领域一个新兴的多学科交叉研究方向,具有虚实结合、三维注册、实时交互的特点,在医疗手术、工业设计、市政规划、军事仿真、教育培训、文化娱乐等领域具有广泛的应用前景。本文针对我国重要历史遗迹圆明园,提出通过户外增强现实系统来进行圆明园数字重建的解决方案。在阐述户外增强现实系统关键技术的基础上,描述了3种不同的用于数字重建的户外增强现实系统的体系结构和工作原理,包括定点式观察增强现实系统、手持式便携增强现实系统以及头戴式漫游增强现实系统。

Abstract:Augmented reality is a new technology involving multiple disciplines and attracting considerable research interests. Its characteristics include the combination of virtual objects with real world, 3D registration and real-time interaction, and it has important application prospects in areas such as medical surgery, industrial design, city planning, military simulation, education and training, culture and entertainment. In this paper, novel solutions based on outdoor augmented reality are presented for the digital reconstruction of the famous royal garden of Yuanmingyuan. After discussions of the key issues in an outdoor augmented reality system, architectures and working principles of three augmented reality systems for the digital reconstruction of historical sites are described, including a fixed-position viewing system, a handheld mobile system and a head-mounted system.
