A Survey on the Current Construction and Application of Excellent Courses: Problems and Countermeasures

The paper randomly selects some excellent courses as survey samples,and conducts research into the construction of 29 national-level excellent course websites and the application of 10 national-level excellent courses.Research reveals that current construction and instructional application of excellent courses are far from satisfying.Of the 29 courses in the survey,13 websites permit no remote logon and resource sharing,which accounts for 44.8% of the total.Of the 16 excellent courses websites that permit logon,9 are without or almost without online BBS for curriculum discussion,which accounts for 56.2%.Many of those with BBS make little use of them,with few students and teachers logging on and visiting.By careful investigation,the paper points out the problems in excellent course construction,analyzes the cause of problems,and puts forward corresponding solutions or strategies.It is hoped that in the implementation of excellent courses,the research would help to improve its efficiency and effectiveness.
