| Abstract: | This article will analyze the rhetoric of the proverbs related to numbers.Except the function of revealing the exact quantitative differences,numbers are used frequently in the proverbs and occupy an important place in rhetoric field,emphasizing the cultural functions and the cultural characteristics of proverbs in English and Chinese. |
