英汉语文化差异及翻译

英汉两种文化的差异在词汇层面上表现的最为突出,涉及面也最广,本文试图从语言学和跨文化的交际学的角度出发,就英汉语言中因为地理环境,价值标准,宗教信仰,词义的联想和文化意象,观察和思维的角度不同以及交际方式的不同而引起的英汉两种语言的差异进行粗浅的探讨,并分析其中的文化内涵.

Cultural Differences and Translation in English and Chinese

The cultural distinctions between English and Chinese are most prominent and wide-spread at lexical level. In this paper, I try to make a sample study of some distinctions between the English language and the Chinese language which are caused by different geography, world value, religion belief, word-meaning assocation and cultural images, perspective and thinking angle as well as strategy of communication and try to analyse their culturally-lcaded connotations on the basis of sociolinguistics and intercultural communication.
