论文化意象在翻译中的处理

因语言与文化的密切关系,不同民族的语言中形成了各自独特的文化意象。翻译作为跨文化跨语言的交际活动,应尽可能完整、准确地体现出原作的文化意象,传递出其文化内涵。本文探讨了英汉民族中一些文化意象的表现形式及意蕴,揭示了翻译中因处理不当而产生的问题,并提出了处理文化意象翻译的方法,以达到文化交际顺利进行的目的。

On the Tackling of Cultural Image in Translation

Due to the close relationship between language and culture, unique cultural images are formed in the languages of different nations. In the process of translation, which is a cross-language and cross-cultural activity, the cultural image of the original work should be expressed and the cultural meanings be transmitted as appropriately and completely as possible. This paper presents a number of cultural images and illustrates their unique meanings. Then it discloses some problems caused by the improper tackling of cultural images in the translation. Finally it puts forward several suitably acceptable methods to deal with them in order to achieve the purpose of successful cross-cultural communication.
