从翻译美学角度谈中西习语的互译

习语是语言中的精华。习语翻译历来是有争议的一个问题。习语翻译具有灵活性。是单纯的习语翻译(离开具体语境和上下文的习语翻译),还是灵活的习语翻译(处于不同语境上下文、用法和文体的习语翻译)要视不同情况而定。一句话,要译翻译具有美感,主要靠译者在透彻理解原文的基础上,善于因情制宜、随机应变,巧作处理。

On Inter- translation of Chinese and Western Idioms from the Perspective of the Translation Aesthetics

Idioms are the essence of language. Translation of idioms is always the controversial issue. Idiom translation is very flexible: in a pure situation (isolated idioms without considering context) and in a flexible way (concerned with idiom translation in different context, about different usages and in different styles). It depends according to different situations. In a word, idiom translation should have the sense of aesthetics, mainly based on the translator's complete understanding of the original language, and should change according to the feeling, the situation, then deal with skillfully.
