Exploration on How to Enhance the Interest in Marine Science:Taking the Teaching Practice of the Public Elective Course of Marine Geology as an Example

Marine Geology is an important sub-discipline of marine science,which has unique advantages for enhancing students’interest in sea-related disciplines and carrying out patriotism education as a developing maritime power.Traditional teaching follows the teaching model of professional core courses,and it is difficult for it to effectively stimulate the interest of students who are non-maritime-related majors.Taking the opportunity of education informatization and the mobile Internet era as the background,this paper proposes some measures to improve the teaching practice of a public selective course,Marine Geology in Movies,such as building a highquality teaching team,reasonably simplifying the teaching content,enriching the teaching materials,and building a scientific smart classroom,in order to attract students with multi-disciplinary backgrounds to be more interested in marine sciences,to extensively attract outstanding talents to join the marine industry in the new era,and to promote the development of science and education in marine geological research in our country.
