On the Role of Acceptability in Translation

The acceptability of translation, one of the three most important factors (including meaning transference and similarity) in translation, means the degree to which the translations are comprehensible and can be appreciated by the readers (receptors). Its importance in translation lies in its influence on the effectiveness and quality of the translation text. The reader (receptor) is the essential factor of acceptability. Therefore, the study on acceptability of translation should be focused on the factor of the reader (receptor).
