试论早期现代化推进力量配置中的矛盾性－－以张謇为个案的分析

中国早期资产阶级配置现代化推进力量的过程 ,是一个国家、地方、民众间极为独特的互动过程 ,是一个充满矛盾的过程。以张謇为例 ,为了赢得进行现代化探索和实践的自由 ,他辞官不就 ,以道抗势 ,力倡自治 ,实行权力抗衡。尽管因此争得不少权力 ,但对于推动一个地区的现代化还是显得十分“弱势”。张謇要具备“强势” ,只得另行出路。他在“以道抗势”的同时 ,不得不时常低下孤高的头 ,“以道附势”。当张謇为抗势和附势交相为用费尽心机 ,还不足以使自己的力量壮大的时候 ,他并没有看到一个巨大的动力源就在他的身边 ,那就是民众。从而丢失了自治的民主内核 ,闭锁了自治的动力机制

On the Contradiction of the Disposition of the Driving Forces to Push Ahead Modernization of China in the Early Period

The process of how the Chinese bourgeoisie disposed driving forces to push ahead the modernization drive in China in the early period was a unique interactive process involving the state, the local places and the masses. This process was full of contradictions. Taking Zhang Jian as an example of case study, this paper explores the defect in the mechanism of driving forces for the realization of the modernization drive in China in the early period......the failure to mobilize the broad masses of the people.
