| 摘 要： | 时间是抽象的,而近期的认知语言学和心理学的研究表明隐喻是人们对抽象概念认识和表达的强有力工具。这些隐喻概念的运用说明了隐喻在人类语言中的普遍性和各民族认知的共性;同时,隐喻概念因深受民族社会文化等因素的影响,也存在一定的文化差异性。

| Abstract: | Time is abstract,and the recent studies of cognitive linguistics and psychology show that metaphor is a most effective tool of people's understanding and expression of abstract concept.This article compares the different ways of the expressions of time concepts between English and Chinese,viewing from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.Through such comparative studies of the metaphors of time in English and Chinese,the universal existence of metaphor in language and the common features of human cognition among all nations are proved. The differences in the general application of metaphorical concepts due to national,social and cultural differences are clarified. |
