新时代中国大学发展之路探析——基于“文化差异”视角的分析

文化差异,是不以人们意志为转移的客观存在。近现代意义上的中国大学本身就是中西方文化交流和融合的产物,在其后百余年的历史进程中,中西文化交流、碰撞、平衡和融合也始终伴随着中国大学的发展。事实证明,无论是鼓吹和推崇"全盘西化",还是固守自身办学程式,都是短视、少智的。步入新时代,对外开放和中国特色是中国大学发展之选择,这是历史的经验启示,是现实的大势所趋,是未来的历史需求。

On the Development of Chinese Universities in the New Era from the Perspective of Cultural Differences

Cultural difference is the objective existence beyond human will. The concept of higher education in China is generated by the exchange and integration of both Chinese and western cultures in modern and contemporary history. The course of its development featured by exchange, conflicts, balance and integration never stops during the ensuing hundred years till now. The historical facts unveil that either holistic westernization or standing still on the traditional school running pattern is deemed to be short-sighted and unwise practices. In view of historical experience and inspiration, trend of the reality and historical needs of the future, Chinese universities needs to persist in opening-up and stick to Chinese characteristics when entering a new era.
