| Abstract: | Semantic coherence is an important guiding principle for the translations of technical literature. The present paper illustrates that through the analysis of three examples for translating Chinese technical literature into English language, the translator will be able to gain some insight into the features of a coherent text as well as the rules of the internal structure. Thus, the aim of recreating the source language text can be realized and explicit semantic relations can be ensured. |
