师古人与师造化——兼谈中国画的哲学意蕴

Learning From the Ancient Masters or Learning From the Nature——On the Philosophical Implication in Chinese Paintings

Tradition takes special status in Chinese painting.It functions necessarily after every point so the Chinese painters pay more attention to learning.Learning from the ancient masters means learning tradition while learning from nature means learning from the natural world.The two aspects function both as cause and effect constructing the learning system for Chinese painting.
