| Abstract: | It makes the comparative study on the change,sources,structure,and distribution of R&D expenditure between higher education institutions of China and USA. On the bases of the study,characteristics of scientific and technological innovation of higher education institutions between two countries are analyzed. Then,some recommendations are proposed,such as increasing R&D expenditure for higher education institutions,distributing R&D resources more properly,strengthening basic research and knowledge innovation,and investing more R&D funds for universities and colleges located in the western region of China. |
