重视翻译教材编写的质量--从《英译汉技巧新编》谈起

编写翻译教材，理论观点具有客观性，译准确而通顺，应该是两个最起码的要求。翻译教材纷纷出版的今天，这一点犹为不可忽视。本基于对《英译汉技巧新编》的分析，认为译界应该呼吁重视翻译教材编写的质量。

The authority and practicability of a textbook for translation necessitates at least two requisites, i.e., the soundness of the arguments and the accuracy and smoothness of the exemplary translations in the textbook. Exploration into New Techniques of EC Translation by Mao Ronggui falls short of these two requisites to a considerable degree. Based on a relevant analysis of the Exploration, the paper argues that a point should be made of the quality in the compiling of a translation book. In the light of the prosperous publishing of translation textbooks nowadays, such a point carries more weight.
